I've been a huge supporter of
Sarasota's Super Boat Grand Prix Festival, personally and
professionally since 1986, when I worked with Festival
organizers to broadcast local TV news coverage of all the
events for the very first time. In 2005, I brought my
enthusiasm for the event with me to SNN Local News 6, and we
have been a very proud sponsor of the Super Boat Grand Prix
ever since, dedicating our entire news operation to special
LIVE television coverage of the races, the parade,
powerboats, parties, and--of course--the Bayfront Fireworks
Spectacular. We are equally proud to support the Suncoast
Foundation for the Handicapped, and every year, SNN Local
News 6 profiles the stories of this important charitable
resource. The Sarasota Super Boat Grand Prix Festival is one
of the best examples of what makes our LOCAL community so
very vibrant.
